The vision for Storyline started out of monthly start up parties in local coffee shops, and launched in September 2019 in Jack London Square Regal Theatre. Our passion and purpose is for people  to know God, find community,  discover their purpose, and make a difference no matter their color, creed, background, or story.

Our Lead Pastor Akeem vision is to be a church that reflects the diversity of Oakland and the bay area. He has a heart to reach our city, the east bay, and beyond with the life changing message of Jesus.

  • What are your doctrinal beliefs?
    Hey good question! Check out the pdf below. This is not meant to be an exhaustive list but we think it's a great start! Keep in mind you do not have to believe to belong. 😄 See you soon!
  • What are the services like?
    Our services are typically an 1.15 hours long. We teach from the bible practical and Jesus centered messages. Honestly, our hope is that whether you're a native or new to the bay area you will feel welcomed, inspired to follow Jesus, and to establish a church community to do life with.
  • What should I expect as a first time visitor?
    You'll be greeted with a warm welcome from our hosts team. During your visit, you'll hear about the connect corner. Please stop by and grab a free gift! This is our way of honoring your first time visit... Seriously, stop by if you won't no one will. Storyline not your style? The connect corner will have a fresh list of churches in Oakland for you to check out!
  • Where do I park?
    Storyline Church parking lot is located across the street from the church building. Parking lot address is 3401 Braodway Oakland. See map attached below 👇
  • What should I wear?
    There is no specific dress code when coming to worship with us at Storyline. Wear what is comfortbale for you!
  • What about my kids?
    Story Kids takes place simultaneousley with Storyline Chruch services. Arrive a few mintues early and check in the kiddos with their Story Kids Leader and classrooms. 0-2, 3-5, 6-11 years old.
  • What do you offer for middle school and high schoolers?
    On Sunday's we welcome middle school and high scoolers to join us in the main auditorium.
